I was wondering where you stood on the creation of "Afrocentric" schools in the GTA. I am going to a Model United Nations conference and this is one of the topics we are discussing. Thank you.

Drop out reasons will always vary from student to student but I believe that if we build communities within and around our schools and we meaningfully engage our students and empower parents to get involved in their child's education and school decision-making then we can not only retain our current students but attract families from private schools, other public school boards, and internationally. So in a few words, I would say the cause of drop out's is the lack of engagement and a sense of belonging.
